EXPANDED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

The $632 million Campbelltown Hospital redevelopment will significantly expand mental health services and will provide the Macarthur community access to care closer to home in a world-class facility.

On completion and opening of the new clinical services building, Campbelltown Hospital will become a major hub for mental health care across the region and the community will benefit from:
  • A full range of mental health services for children and adolescents, young people, adults and older people
  • Integrated clinical mental health services within a new state-of-the-art clinical building
  • Improved clinical safety and quality responsiveness to their needs.

Mental Health services will be located in the new clinical services building, over a number of levels. Integrated care will be provided within the hospital environment which will strengthen working relationships and access to resources, such as multidisciplinary staff, equipment and technologies.

The new clinical services building will include the following expanded services:
  • Child/adolescent inpatient services
  • Acute youth
  • Acute adult with gender specific observation capability
  • New mental health intensive care unit capability.

Two new services will also open as part of the NSW Government’s $700 million State-wide Mental Health Infrastructure Program: Click here to find out more about the current mental health services at Campbelltown Hospital.
